Code of Ethics
Owners should ensure that all dogs in their care are kept in
good conditions, well fed, watered and exercised.
- Dam should be at least one year old before she is mated.
- Dam should not be bred from after the age of eight.
- Dam should not have any more than 6 litters.
- Both parents should be hip scored and eye tested before breeding where necessary.
- When purchasing a puppy try and see the mother if possible.
- All puppies should be sold healthy and should not be sold until at least 8 weeks old.
- Breeders should provide details of dietary requirements to the new owner.
- Purchasers should confirm whether the puppy has been vaccinated and wormed.
- A receipt should be provided to the new owner for the puppy.
- Owners will ensure all relevant Pedigree Pets Registration Club documents are provided to the new owner.
We expect breeders to abide by our Code of Ethics although we can not enforce all conditions listed.
